HOMEWORK Homework in our multiage classroom consists of reviewing and practicing what is learned in school. IRB (independent reading books) reading, practicing spelling words and sight words, and learning math facts are homework for my multiagers on a daily basis. When IRB books come home (starting in mid-September), please listen to your child read the book, sign the comment sheet, and return both the book and comment sheet in the ziploc bag. Sight words that come home with the younger students should be cut apart and practiced daily for recognition upon sight. Spelling words will come home on Mondays, with the spelling test on Friday. When math facts come home (mid-September for the olders and November for the youngers), they should also be practiced daily for memorization. Students will be timed approximately 3 times a week and will pass to the next set when they meet or exceed their goals. Students should pass at least one to two math facts sets a week.
