Welcome to Mr. Six's Classroom Webpage
"Hand in Hand for 40 years..."

Greetings and welcome all of you to Mr. Six's Second Grade Classroom. I'm excited to have you all in my classroom and hope you are all ready for a great year.
Mrs. Meverden and I will be working together to teach both classes this year. While I will be teaching Social Studies to both classes, she will be teaching Science. We also work together for our reading groups.
It is also a very exciting year for you because you will be making your First Reconciliation in fall and First Communion in spring. We have some field trips planned for this year to Heritage Hill, Building for Kids, and our year end picnic.

Warmest greatings to all of you on the start of another great year at Notre Dame Elementary School. Welcome to all the students and their families in my classroom. It was a short but very fun filled week in our classroom. We accomplished a lot in so little time and even had the opportunity to get to know one another a little bit better.
Please remember this webpage is my main form of communication with you, as our class is a GREEN Classroom thus minimizing the amount of actual paper that is sent home. Please check back daily when you can to find out important information for your child's school day.
GREEN FOLDERS This is the folder that will be sent home daily with your child with all important paperwork in it. Most often there will be checked papers along with any homework that needs to be returned the next day. If you ever have any questions about what comes home in the folder please contact me. Just remember to send it back to school daily.
WATER BOTTLES Please try to send a water bottle at the beginning of the week with your child. This will cut back on your child's absence from the classroom. Please send nothing but water in your child's bottle unless special circumstances ask for something else. If so, please contact me prior to sending it to school.
PARENT VOLUNTEERS Once the office sends me all my parent volunteer slips I can set up a schedule for all those that are interested. Parent volunteering will start the month of October. Each schedule will be for two months, so look for that paper to come home in your child's folder.
SNACK Please make sure you child has a healthy snack each day for school. This will help them through their mornings.
(CLASSROOM DONATIONS) Each child needs to bring in one empty frozen juice container (plastic) and one empty paper role tube (insert) for our start of the year projects. Please get those in as soon as possible so we can work on these projects.
