Notre Dame of De Pere

Elementary School (K-5):

Middle School (6-8):
Overall the goal of our religion classes are to allow students a chance to discover the beauty of the Catholic Church, while developing their own sense of faith.  Students will be taught the fundamentals of the Catholic faith, while encouraged to take it and make it their own.  Students will explore what faith is, ways to grow in faith, the wonders of the Mass, the importance of Scripture, the power of prayer and various ways to pray.

For our class text we use the Faith and Life Series from Ignatius Press (grades 6-8).  This text is approved by the USCCB as it conforms to the Catechism of the Catholic Church.  In addition, we have a classroom set of Bibles, The Catholic Youth Bible from St. Mary’s Press, as well as teen catechisms, St. Joseph’s Revised Baltimore Catechism for grades 6, 7, and 8 that are used in class.
